Our Circus Workshops
Our circus skills workshops bring people of all ages together to learn new skills, build confidence, and most of all — have fun! We offer sessions across the North East, including Northumberland, Durham, Teesside, and North Yorkshire.
From juggling scarves and balls, diabolo, flower sticks, spinning plates, rola bola boards, and unicycles to balance boards and playful warm-up games, we create sessions that are lively, inclusive, and adaptable to any group.
Over the years, we’ve delivered workshops in schools, youth organisations, family events, and workplaces. Each one is tailored to suit the setting — whether it’s inspiring pupils, challenging Scouts and Guides, entertaining families, or strengthening workplace teams. No matter the occasion, our workshops always spark laughter, connection, and a sense of achievement.

School
Circurama has worked with schools across the North and North East for over 20 years. Our circus workshops are a fun and engaging alternative to PE, with something for everyone—juggling, diabolo, flower sticks, balance boards, and silly warm-up games like Department of Silly Walks, Cowabunga and Hedgehogs.
We tailor sessions for all ages, from nursery to Year 6 and beyond, including mainstream, SEND and PRU schools. Each programme is designed to suit the group while developing balance, coordination, movement and confidence. Popular with sports weeks, wellbeing days and attendance rewards—or simply as a treat—our sessions bring energy, fun and lasting memories.

Scouts & Guides
Circus skills are always a hit with Scouts and Guides. We offer programmes for every level—from Beavers and Cubs to Scouts, and from Rainbows through to Guides. Our sessions encourage teamwork, resilience and creativity while boosting self-confidence and self-esteem.
Whether learning to juggle, balance or try something completely new, circus workshops give young people a chance to challenge themselves in a supportive, fun environment. Many groups also use circus skills as part of badge work, making it both enjoyable and rewarding.

Teambuilding
Corporate circus workshops are a refreshing way to bring teams together. Employees and managers step out of the everyday and learn new skills side by side, building communication, trust and laughter along the way.
A typical day begins with a lively demonstration, followed by hands-on practice in juggling, balancing and movement challenges. Groups then draw a surprise task from the top hat and perform in a light-hearted finale—complete with Ringmaster! The result: a happier, more connected team with renewed motivation and focus back at work.

Family Fun Days
Our drop-in circus workshops are a favourite at community and family events. Families can step into our colourful circus space and try out a wide variety of interactive props, with friendly tutors circulating to give tips and encouragement.
Perfect for village fairs, church fetes or festivals, our sessions create a buzzing, inclusive atmosphere. Expect juggling, plate-spinning, balance challenges, a little close-up magic, bubbles, and the odd puzzle to keep everyone entertained—whatever their age!
